Christina Benz, Françoise Caraco and Karoline Schreiber were awarded the room stipend by “sihlquai55 offspace visarte zürich”.

A month ago, the three artists formed a temporary group, using the Visarte Zurich exhibition space as a studio and discussion hub. During this time, the three women investigated how a temporary community art space affects their individual creativity and how they can influence and inspire each other.

This intimate group could be enlarged when appropriate, for example, to invite other critical views and voices for discussions, or to throw an improvised dinner party with guests.

The exhibition project “Temporary Community” also deals with topics like community development and associated mechanisms such as belonging and differentiation. Concluding the room stipend, the three artists now present their latest work during a three-day exhibition featuring video installations, drawings and mixed media.
