The ethos of the Cynthia Corbett Gallery has always been about helping artists, both emerging and established, find their audience, grow their awareness and thrive in a market where artists face many challenges. These days the world order has shifted thus we must learn to navigate this 'new normal' on a daily basis. However, some of us are luckier than others. Cynthia (Valianti) Corbett's parents and grandparents lived through The Great Depression in America, and she was deeply impacted by their experiences.
This special curated exhibition celebrating creativity is a recognition that artists operate with great generosity both in exposing their true self to us through their artwork and give generously whenever they can to causes dear to their hearts.
The gallery and our invited artists are launching an online exhibition, entitled Carry On Creativity with 25% of all sales to be donated to our charity partner - The Trussell Trust. The Trust is a nationwide network of food banks providing emergency food and support to people locked in poverty as well as people suffering economic hardship in this current crisis.
Twenty outstanding international artists have agreed to participate in our unprecedented show, which includes a special feature by our longtime partner Artsy, the premium platform for viewing and acquiring works of art.
Your support has never been more vital as food banks have been overwhelmed during the COVID-19 crisis. The Trussell Trust's network saw a soaring 81% increase in need for food parcels, compared to the same period in 2019. Children have been especially affected since many rely on meals at school.
