Last month the decorated 2019 Young Masters alumni Amanda McCavour made it to the top-10 long-list for the 2022 Brookfield Properties Craft Award. She was selected from over 350 makers, and chosen by a panel of curators and cultural leaders from both Brookfield Properties and the Crafts Council.
Entering its third year, the Brookfield Properties Craft Award, donates funds to the Crafts Council to allow them to acquire works for their national collection of contemporary craft in the UK. The winners are makers featured in Collect 2022, with previous recipients including our very own Gallery-represented ceramic and textile artist Matt Smith (2020 winner). Please follow

As you can imagine, here at the gallery we are all delighted that she has been acknowledged with such a wonderful honour. This prize truly is a celebration of craft-making and highlights her impressive skills.
