Don't miss the Panel Discussion: Clay & Identity on 22 January 2025, 7pm
Book tickets here: https://foundlingmuseum.org.uk/event/panel-discussion-clay-and-identity/

Explore the parallels between clay and the concept of self in this panel discussion. The malleability of clay makes it an ever-changing medium. External qualities like temperature, moisture, and pressure impact clay, as well as the touch of our hands. What similarity does this bear to our personalities, how we shape our identities, and our sense of self? Furthermore, how have artists used clay as a vessel to encompass ideas of identity?

The Foundling Museum’s exhibiting artists Phoebe Collings-James, Rachel Kneebone and Matt Smith will discuss some of these ideas in a talk chaired by artist, curator and researcher Dr Clare Twomey

Doors open at 6:20pm. Your ticket includes the opportunity to visit the Museum and our exhibition, Self-Made: Reshaping Identities.
