@cynthia_corbett is the Founder and Director of @cynthiacorbettgallery, an international contemporary art gallery with an annual exhibition programme in London, Los Angeles and New York. #MondayMuse.

During Covid-19, Cynthia has been a bastion of art world positivity by creating a #CarryOnCreativitycampaign, donating to the Trussell Trust and also taking her loyal audience on virtual walks of art hotspots on her daily exercise routes @cynthia_corbett.

Cynthia trained as an art historian at @christiesinc Education before launching her gallery in 2004. Prior to this she worked as an international economist specialising in emerging markets, and was the architect and founder of the debt conversion plans for most of Sub-Saharan Africa in the 1980s.

Passionate about creating a stable of artists through identifying trends and supporting fledging careers (from emerging markets to emerging artists), Cynthia launched @youngmastersartprize in 2009. This unique not-for-profit competition is open to international artists and celebrates artistic skill and innovation with awareness of the Old Masters and art of the past.

She is also a founding and Board member of the Association of Women Art Dealers and is a Patron of: Royal Academy of Arts, Tate, V&A, Serpentine Gallery, Whitechapel Art Gallery, Camden Arts Centre and the Met Breuer in New York.
