A skilled technician with a studio for a laboratory, Klari Reis uses the tools and techniques of science in her creative process, constantly experimenting with new ways to apply materials and methods. She is driven by curiosity and her desire to explore and document the natural and unnatural with a sense of wonder and joy.
On 24th March at 6pm GMT / 7pm CET / 2pm EST / 11am PST, I will be in conversation with Klari about her practice, her formal training as an architect and painter, the mediums she so skilfully creates – and what science means for her. The artist will be talking from her studio in San Francisco about her collaborations with local biomedical companies and her inspiration with the cutting edge of biological techniques and discoveries.
