I get motifs from artefacts, but my work has been reborn as contemporary ceramics with my observations and imagination. Young Jun I am inspired by is one of the most common vessel forms produced thorough out Joseon Dynasty period. Young Jun, for me, is the first one that comes to mind when I think of Korean vessels. I explore Young Jun from various angles and search for the possibility of opening up an enclosed space. I use my imagination to design a new interior form that matches an exterior form.
