This piece conveys the continuous movement of life and of energy whislt drawing upon William Blake’s ‘Oberon and the Fairies’ and Henry Matisse’s ‘The Dance’. The painting seeks to emulate the fluidity and transformation we experience throughout existence. This eternal dance could be seen as life, death and rebirth. As both, transience and transcendence, simultaneous growth and decay. Humanity is bound together in this shared experience of reality.
Poem within the painting: Tattoos left on the skin of time tell stories. Wrinkles chronicle the many seconds past, the many seeds planted. The stains that reveal us. Ivy twists the many turns as growth continues, life keeps reaching. Fractals spiral inwards. Movement eternal. Continuous shifting creates parallel paths unknown. Wires connect beneath the surface - we act as one entity.
