The villa was built in the countryside near Bologna and extended in various stages over the 19th century. In addition to decades of looting and vandalism the villa was hit by an earthquake about five years ago. All the rooms are empty except the grand salon, still with the original furniture and beautiful marble decorations and frescos to decorate the room.
